Series 1 Finished Quilt

Each Series of Quilt Trading Cards has instructions for making a finished quilt.

Start by making the blocks on the back of each trading card. Then use the finishing instructions on the back of the cover card to make the finished quilt.

This is a great sampler quilt, and a fun way to try different quilt blocks.

Here is the finished quilt in Series 1.

All the blocks are two-color blocks. You can use the same two fabrics for all of the blocks, or you can match the fabric colors to the cards as I did in the quilt above.

For sashing fabric, I used Katarina Rochella’s “Seed of Roses” for Art Gallery Fabrics, which I think makes a really fun and cohesive background fabric for any quilt that has a lot of colors. If you choose to make your Series 1 quilt scrappy, finding a great neutral fabric for your blocks will help bring the quilt together.

I also chose to add as many labels as possible in my binding, just for fun.

  1. I absolutely woukd like to obtain a set of cards.

I also would like to create a block for a future series.

I live in Canada, please send me more details.

    1. Absolutely! Ask your favorite local quilt shop to order them from their favorite distributor.
If you don’t have a favorite local quilt shop, hopefully you have a favorite online shop?
If you still don’t have a good option, you can order from us directly: https://quilttradingcards.com/order/

    1. Ask your local quilt shops to check with their distributor… I see no reason we shouldn’t be able to get them to shops in Australia!
